Nathan Flowerday comes from a farming and kiwifruit orchard background. He is a founding Director of the Kiwifruit Breeding Centre. He has been involved in the Kiwifruit Breeding Programme for the last decade through his role as Chairman of the Zespri Business Innovation Subcommittee.

Nathan became involved in the kiwifruit industry in 1997, when his family moved from the Waikato and purchased their first kiwifruit orchard. Now, Nathan is involved in all aspects of kiwifruit growing, owning several kiwifruit orchards and an orchard management and orchard contracting business. He is passionate about the kiwifruit industry, as well as ensuring Zespri continues to deliver premium kiwifruit to the world, resulting in strong returns back to Zespri growers and shareholders.
